System Invasions or Planetary?

If a system has 2 colonized planets in it, when you invade do you invade the whole system at once or do you invade both planets seperatly? If it's planetary then this means that you can invade just one planet and have two different races with colonies in the same system right?

you invade the sytsem. And if it a big system 75b people you have a big fight on your hands...
