small population bug

when invading

Ok, i am playing 1.31 and i found this bug.

i was invading a IA planet and lost, he had like 2b pop left.
i invade again the same turn 5 seconds later and i was fighting 5B pop again (not a round number though).

this happend to me several times.

Sounds great

All the devs are going to need is a copy of your debug.err and saved game file from last save prior to issue. To just post the above means squat to anyone as it cant easily be made to happen for a dev to see the issue in person.

Happens when you use "Information Warfare". For some reason, when you lose the number of troops that defected to you gets added back into the remaining population of the planet.

I guess it's a bug in the code that is doing something like:
"survivors = initialpop - losses" and not including defectors in the equation.

I think the logic goes like this.

When the defectors see they will not win they um undefect.

thats not logical at all.
the defectors join my side and are killed in combat.
