Looking for help adding mods

I have downloaded the Star Trek mod for GalCiv II, how do I access the mod. Do I install it to the GalCiv II folder? The default folder was not the galciv ii folder. There is no choice to load a mod from in the game itself. Thanks for your Assistance.

You probably need to patch up. Mods options were added in v1.2.
