Can I still download patch 1.2 & 1.3

You should be able to find it on third-party gaming download sites such as GameSpot. But I'd strongly recommend playing the latest version if you use the metaverse or plan on getting DA when it comes out (as it will include all the changes in 1.3, so you might as well get used to them).

I think Stardock should keep all the patches up for
download. Sometimes people have good reasons for
going back. They may like the economic/morale setting
for 1.2. Or perhaps there is a technical problem for
some reason with a later patch.

I'm currently in the middle of a metaverse game, Had to turn it down a couple of levels from suicidle, cos the AI expand quicker than is humanly possible.


In fact i'd say the AI cheat, there I said it. I reckon there is some kind of cheating built into the AI because even if you micro managed every single turn, there is no way a player can out-expand the AI...

The AI doesn't cheat up to 'Tough', at 'Challenging' and above, the AI gets increasing bonuses.

No, scoring has not been changed any from 1.2. If you play metaverse games on 1.2 though, you run the risk of inadvertently getting yourself cheat flagged due to some issues in that version that have since been found and fixed.
