Post patch serial or sid problems

Ok I bought this game like 5 6 months ago and since then had to role back my settings and reinstall the game...It played fine then I noticed some issues and went to get a patch patched it and guess what it says now......."The product appears to be validated but the serial number or the machine sid dont match...ummmmm ok I have no clue as to why its doing this but I need to know how to fix it...please help

If you reinstall windows after activating the game, that particular activation won't work anymore. All you need to do is delete the file sig.bin from GalCiv2's directory and run the game to reactivate it.
