Title to Include Two Booster Packs of TCG

Blizzard has announced the expected - a special version for the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Collector's Edition will feature the game on CD and DVD for some odd reason. Along with the double format edition will come a Behind the Scenes DVD, an artbook, two booster packs of the recently announced World of Warcraft: Trading Card Game, a mousepad with the map of Outland, and a soundtrack CD. Lastly, following the trend of the original title's Collector's Edition will be another exclusive in-game pet, a Netherwelp.

Release date and pricing has yet to be announced.

I suspect this was done to sate some retailers. There are a few major game retailers who don't want DVD-ROM titles, just CD. By including both, Blizzard can satisfy the requirements of the retailers and those of the players. Jacks up the cost quite a bit (for Blizzard), but I suspect they can handle it.
