UP Council win?

Is the diplomacy victory going to work through the UP council ala Master of Orion 2?
And if so, is it already implemented? I have a hard time seeing how this is done.

sigh, havent managed to complete a single yet, perhaps I shouldn't play on Huge and Gigantic maps LOL

I had the impression that a diplomatic victory was where you won by allying with all of the other races still in the game. If I remember correctly, this is somewhat similar to MOO2. I have done this in games on earlier beta builds (prior to beta 4 womewhere), but I have been concentrating more now on the influence win trying to find bugs in it.

And I, too, have found that it is almost impossible to complete a game on a gigantic galaxy before a new build is released.

I finished a B4D HUGE galaxy over the weekend. Played until 5AM slept till 10:30, played until 10PM. Played Sunday 9AM to 8:30PM. Was try desparatly to finish a Terror Star (that 5000 bc is a killer) when I won on a cultural victory (I was mercantile and was trying for a trade victory).

We were going to have a "UP Leader Victory" WHere, if you had majority votes in the UnitedPlanets and voted yourself leader you won, but Brad felt it anti-climatic. Instead, there is a route to victory where you become allies with all the aliens in the game. You'll have to ask Brad for specifics on that one, though :(

Maybe not a victory, but a UP issue where you are voted leader giving you +20% diplomancy and +10% influence would be interesting.
