IT'S SNOWING!!!

Well I don't know where all you've lived,  however it's only 35 degrees here right now.  Wind chill is 22 degrees,  this after being 80 just 5 days ago...

The snow won't stay,  ground is tooo warm yet.  By November the snow usually stays.and stays...and ...

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww snow is a four letter word!

They're calling for a low of 73 here tonight. brrrrr

I've lived in Wyoming, Southern CA, Northern CA, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Korea, Germany...

And I've NEVER experienced snow in October before.

Yeah, we've been running around in t-shirts lately with no problem. But now, NO WAY. My husband just put on his snow pants to stay warm in the house!

! It's been cooler here today, in the balmy 70's! My kids miss seeing the snow.

I've lived in Wyoming, Southern CA, Northern CA, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Korea, Germany... And I've NEVER experienced snow in October before.

The only time I had snow in October was in Germany.  It snowed on my Birthday, and then we got 4 inches the day before thanksgiving.  Then it did not snow for the next 2 years!

But now, NO WAY. My husband just put on his snow pants to stay warm in the house!

Where is the central heating? Don't you guys use it in the USA?

I always get excited when it snows, the fresh falling snow does that to me then when it is all quiet and still and a white snow covered world out there - peace reigns - till I need to drive the car then I curse!

My sister called to tell me that it snowed in Marquette. I remember coing trick or treating as a kid...my dad would pull us on a sled from house to house......

Yes, but this 2700-square-foot house is hardly worth heating when there are only three of us who are usually all in the same room together. (I can't wait to move.) The house is old and the heat vents don't close, so we can't channel or block the heat flow in any specific room. If we turned on the central heat, we might as well be taking an armload of $100 bills and throwing them out the window.   

We are getting a ton of use out of our space heater though!! The electricity spent on the space heater is less expensive than heating the whole house with propane (that's what they use in this town).

Ahh yes, I remember hearing tidbits from you about your childhood in the Upper Peninsula. Now THAT'S a cold place!
