How to make a backup if downloaded? Can I install on 2 computers?

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded GalCiv2 from StarDock Central and it installed fine, but I have a DVD burner and would really like to make a backup. Problem is, I don't see how to do that. It looks like it just installed the game onto my computer, I dont see where it actually downloaded the install files that I can backup. How can I do this?

Also, is it legal to install the game also on my laptop? i think it could run the game, but I'm not sure if this will cause problems with my account if they think I am trying install it on multiple computers.

Thanks for any help!

Yes to both.

No installer is downloaded when you get the game form SDC, however you can use SDC's archive option. Just select GC2 in the list then go to the File menu and choose Archive app>Entire app. Then go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Stardock Central\BACKUP and copy the large zip file that it created to a DVD, along with the SDC installer. Take the disc to your laptop, install SDC, copy the big zip over into the BACKUP directory there, then use File menu>Restore archive to install the game.

Note that you may need to delete the file sig.bin from the game directory and reactivate the game on your laptop after you've gotten GC2 on there (if SDC still includes that file in the backups).
