how do I find a specific planet?

Howdy all,

Newbie here    so forgive me if this is a foolish question:

I just discovered my first minor race, but I’m unable to locate them on the map (I’ve scrolled all over and can’t see any planet occupied by anyone other than myself or another major race). I also tried going through the planets list to see if I could find them that way and couldn’t.

I still have some areas "hidden" on the map, and am searching there, but I was wondering if there is any easy way to find them.

There is a search function, although I'm not sure it searches through foreign planets.

But anyhoo, you might already have tried this, but click the planets/ships list and select the appropriate tab.

Select foreign.

Sometimes the first meeting is just you running into one of their ships. You may not have their planet uncovered yet.

Oh, when talking about finding things, what exactly is the find button used for and how does it work?

The find button will only work with planets you found ANYWAY... So just keep searching those unexplored areas.

The button in question should be left of the research button. From there, you could search for all planents, and then sort alphabetically, and then scroll throught the list to find the planet you are looking for.

Just a warning, not every race will have thier planets named after them. This is especially true for minor races that popped up after the game had started.

Thanks for the replies all. I guess I had ran into one of their ships, I finally found their planet hidden in a gray area late last night.
