Live Action Returns to Command & Conquer

Electronic Arts will continue at least one tradition from their former subsidiary Westwood Studios: Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, the newest entry to one of the franchises that put the studio on the map (the other being the Dune series), will come complete with live-action video. Although live-action is rarely done anymore, EA felt confident enough to already announce the inclusion of actor and Westwood live-action alumni Joe Kucan, whom will be reprising his role as Brotherhood of Nod leader Kane.

Most of the cast will be recognizable science fiction performers including Star Wars' Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), and Battlestar Galactica alumni Tricia Helfer (Number 6) and Grace Park (Boomer). The voice of Sam Fisher, Michael Ironside, will also be lending his acting and voice talents to C&C 3 as will Lost and CSI alumni Josh Holloway.

EA has even signed on various new reporters to the title, hoping to give the title's story a more authentic feel. Incorporated into the story will be various news reports of the on going war, delivered by real reporters from CNN and Fox News correspondents Shanon Cook and John Huck respectfully.

"This is the most fun I've had since Star Wars!" said Williams. "The game's story and universe are immersive and drew me right in. I was intrigued by my character, GDI director Redmond Boyle, because he has more depth than I expected from a video game personality."
