Ditto with Sunac. Heard about it on the official MOO 3 forums, but didn't pay much attention since I was waiting eagerly for MOO 3. Bought MOO 3 and saw the little insert ad. But didn't really check up on the game until I realized I hated MOO 3. Then I found a thread on their forums, again, and read the guy's review of GalCiv....followed his link here.

Completely by fluke. Was just surfing the web and stumbled upon the game while it was in Alpha. Followed the Alpha progress and then jumped at the chance to get involved in the beta.

I saw it mentioned on Apolyton sometime in the autumn of 2000. The site was quite different back then, and Brad was posting quarterly "Developers Reports" which were fun reading while waiting for the game.

Ehh played the first OS/2-version of GalCiv. Liked it and the other OS/2-software SD made. Have had an eye on stardocks webpage, news-server and newsletters ever since.

I basically stumbled across GalCiv by sheer accident. I was purusing the Gamespot site one day (way back in 2000) and happened to notice a small blurb about the game. I think I've been following this game longer than I did MOO3, and that's saying a lot.

Completely by accident. Was looking for a fun space four x type game and came across this site. Saw that if i preordered I could Download the beta and play right away and did so. And have been enjoy the game ever since I did.

Accident as well. Was browsing blues news when I read something about an interview apolyton was doing about some new 4x space game.
