Question about icons...

Hi folks... just have a question. I like to use Aveicon to drag and drop .ico files and create .png files out of them. When and iconpackage includes all the .ico files in a folder, access to them is easy. My question is, when an iconpackage only includes the iconpackage theme file and an icon library file, is there a way to access the individual icons to drag into Aveicon? Thanks in advance for any help!

.ip is another name for .zip

rename to .zip

that didn't help anything. Even after renaming it .zip it still was recognized as an Icon Packager theme... Any other suggestions?

See, that's what I mean... when I rename to .zip, I can't unzip it. It still isn't being recognized as a zip....

AHHH I got it! I had to change my settings to not "hide extensions for known file types"... now it worked. Thanks for the help, Bichur!

damn.
I know I did one before.

Now when i change one, there's a icl and iconpackage theme inside

renaming either and the unzipped comes up empty.

Open the .icl in Icon Developer, right click the icon and export it to where you want to save it. You can also shift-click multiple icons, right click and export them all to the folder of your choice.

Make sure IconPackager is set to Save package as individual icons. View , Package Builder, browse for set and open the .iconpackager. Save as, create a new folder,I name then nameofpackage2.
Not sure why but now and then you will have a pack that won't work, crashes IP, Artwork is one that does this.

ICL's are icon libraries, and are not renamed zips. That's why renaming them doesn't work. IPTHEME files are not renamed zips either. They are a type of ini file.
