I Don't Mean To Bother But...

I'm thinking about buying the beta version of this game, but I have several questions to ask first. These questions may have already been answered on the forum or website, but I have limited time on the web.

1. If I buy the beta, do I have access to the single-player only mode? I don't do much multiplayer, so single player is essential for me.

2. Am I required to interact with the testing team at all because I bought the beta, or can i just buy it, and disappear till it comes time to download an update or the such.

3. At this time, is the beta stable enough to enjoy? I already have to deal with a at times unstable pc, I don't want to deal with an unstable game.

4. Is there another method to buying this than a credit card? My credit card is suffering from post-holidays inflation, much like myself :) , and I'd rather not put anything else on it right now.

Hi,

1) It's single player only, so basically you are in luck, since all development goes towards making the most enjoyable single player experience.

2)Nope - play the game and download the patches.thats it.
3) IT's very stable, more so than many "finished" products I've tried and also very very enjoyable.

If you want to buy the beta, you should hurry.Brad mentioned that the next build will probably be the last beta build, and then the option of buying it before february 25th will expire.

4. I think you can pay by check but you have to print out the order form and then mail it in with your check. When you go to order it, look at the bottem of one of the screens and there will be a Terms or Policy or something like that... That is where I saw you could order by check..

It's stable early in game. But late in game you will have a few crashes. You will also notice many glaring bugs, such as unsynchronized status reports. But overall, the game is playable.

Thank you for your answers. At this time, though, I'll have to wait till it comes out in stores. This is due to the fact that I just found out that Command And Conquers Generals is coming out soon, and my RTS desires are stronger than my 4X urges. Thanks anyway though.
