#8 could be hammer. It's one of the tiny bones in the inner ear. I don't know if that's slang or it's official name.

Your very close PJ. Perhaps it would be easier if ther question were:

What every carpenter uses.

Good going Sean!

I'll give you #6 as pupil is not per se a body part, but rather a componant of the eye (or the lack there of, as the pupil is really a hole). I had "arms" in mind, but I like pupil.

Congrats to Sean and PJ

BONUS QUESTION: What is the largest living organism on the earth today?
It is a fungus, but I dont remember where. It is supposed to stretch for miles and miles.

Are you thinking of "mycelium" Doc? Nice thinking here

Still not what I had in mind.

i'll go with the coral in the sea. or perhaps a sponge.

Good trys here Sean, but coral is made of many tiny colinized organisms, same with spounges

HINT: I am not an animal, nor a fungi, and I'm quite magestic.

Define largest. Are you talking mass or weight?

Mass and volume Doc. These guys are huge and heavy. Also fairly dense.

purple mountains? lol

Getting closer Sean.

HINTS: I am not an animal, nor a fungi, and I'm quite magestic. I only live in about 75 localities on the planat, and reside between 4500-8000 feet above sea level. The oldest of my kind is about 3500 years old.

Also, I am not a human (animal).
I am local only to the western Sierras.

Have we come to a stand-still?

No, did you want specifics, or species? I already gave specifics.

I'm sorry Doc, I dont see the answer posted?

Ok, I guess I'm just going to have to come out with it...

I am a Giant Sequoia Redwood tree.

This one must have been a bit tough. I imagine many people have never seen one of these guys. For me, I stub my toe on them every day.

You know what Sean, it seems as both you and the Doc may be right.

I'm very sorry Doc. Now I see whay you asked in terms of mass. We would be hard pressed to measure the mass of this fungus. I was also aware of other funguses that are like the one Sean posted a link to. I'm giving you the double bonus and Sean gets the bonus. Me, I get the consolation prize and an education.

I hope this dosn't ruin the credibility of my riddle posts

Grr...damn...I knew that one...big ol' redwoods...largest plants in existence. You also have your acres of fungi...and your blue whale as the largest animal.

Yeah, I'm a nerd...

It's not nerdy Zoo, I studied science in college as well. Science is the study of reality and isn't really subject to the same inconsistancies you find in politics, economics, and the like.
