Newbie checking in with a few questions.

Hello, another MOO3 refuge reporting for duty :) I have been watching the GalCiv site off and on for about 6 months, but after MOO3 I am now a GalCiv addict. I have 20 bucks down on my copy at EB and cannot wait for two weeks to fly by. I just had a question I am wondering about.
1.) What resolutions is GalCiv capable of running in?

This seems to be a great community, and I am excited to be apart of it. Keep those GamePlay examples comming as they are my only fix until release:)

Right on.

I believe it was said to be 1024 x 768 by default.

Welcome aboard.

This is a heck of a good community. Intellegent discussions going deeper into the mechanics of the game than I will probably ever delve. But to just sit down and play this thing I think will be not only a blast but a very differant adventure each time because of the e artificial intellegence branching.

Yet somehow I think this sucker might draw me into doing some MODS. I planned to for Disciples II, I was very intrigued by the Warcraft editor. And the Stronghold Crusader editor has yielded some of the best maps period. But so far not by my hands. Eleven days and counting.

As for res, I understand it is 1024*768 32 bits only (as per online manual). Rich 21" owners were voluntarily not ignored ;)

dont have to be rich to own a 21" monitor nowadays. Yopu just have to buy one when your 17" that came with the computer finally blows. By the way, it wont be too long before EVERYBODY has larger screens.Prices have come down drastically.
As for the res...I assume all that means is that fonts will be on the small side for bigger monitors?
Cheers. :d

Just the opposite. The bigger the monitor the more area a 1024*768 has to cover. Since the font size is in pels, they will cover more area on a larger screen.
