Unchecking Show GNN has no effect.

This is mainly in reference to not being able to stop GNN from coming up
every time I research a new tech, despite the guide saying that unchecking
the Show GNN option will stop it from displaying every time I research a
new tech. I have the 1.4x patch.

Is there some work around to stop this?

The 'tech researched' screen that comes up is not the same as the GNN. The GNN does indeed get disabled when you use that option (I keep if off myself); there is no option though for disabling the research completed screen.
