Daily Love Tip #26

Agree To Disagree

We all live under the same sky, but we don't all have the same horizon.

Few issues are worth a long-running feud or a heated debate with your mate. It's best to simply accept that you will not see all things from your spouse's point of view at times and vice versa. Perhaps your differences of opinion center around a political viewpoint or a philosophical stance. Even the most perfectly matched couple should not expect to see eye-to-eye on everything.

When a disagreement surfaces, ask yourself "Is this matter one in which we will ever be able to agree? Could this disagreement have a significant impact on our marriage? Is it worth the conflict that our relationship would have to endure?" Some battles are worth fighting. Others are not. Pick your battles carefully.

Don't make mountains out of molehills.
