Potter Returns to PC July 2007

Obvious Tie-in Announced

Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced the obvious tie-in game for the next Harry Potter movie. 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' is set to hit theaters in July 2007 along with a game of the same name. Both items will mark the fifth entry into their respected media that are based on the novels from J.K. Rowling.

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the first in the franchise that we have developed for the next generation consoles," said Harvey Elliott, Executive Producer at EA UK. "Together with current generation versions, we are creating an immersive and, above all, faithful Harry Potter experience that will both accurately reflect the world showcased in the film and also delight fans of all ages."
Players will be allowed the use of multiple characters from the Potter universe including Harry Potter, Dumbledore and Sirius Black as they explore Hogwarts like never before. The title is under development at EA's UK Studio, the firm responsible for the previous Potter-based titles. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is based on Rowling's fifth book and will be conjured onto every system still available for purchase (DS, GBA, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, and Xbox 360) except the original Xbox.
