This just popped into my head, and I wanted to know what you guys think of it. Be honest, but no flaming.

Wouldn't work.

A spinoff from the viewpoint of the individual generals would work though, and be quite good.

That's cheating! That's not a GC2 setting

Oh, come on. Like there aren't going to be a thousand GC mods for Sins. In fact, I'll go one step further and predict that in most of the mods the TEC will become the Terran Alliance, the Advent will become the Altarians, and the Vasari will become the Drengin.

And who wouldn't want to fight the Drengin in real time?

Yeah i was about to say Sins, although it will be radically diffrent the empire structure will be similar to GalCiv.

Frogboy has also mentioned possibly making a space RTS he dubbed "Galactic Federations". This was before it was announced Stardock was publishing Sins, though, so he may have dropped that idea for now.

Wasn't that part of the original trilogy of GalCiv? On TBS, one RTS, and one other? (I forgot the details). If I remember rightly, that was when he was writing the original script years ago, and the idea since changed to a trilogy of 4X.

Err... I think so anyway.

Well even as recently as 6 months ago, Brad had mentioned Galactic Federations as something he would've liked to do--although even then, it probably would be at least a couple years before it was actually made. While it's certainly possible I only imagined he said that, I'm still pretty sure he made mention of it earlier this year.

Of course, even if he did say as much (and that I'm not imagining it), it doesn't mean he's still planning/hoping to make "GalFed". With all the projects Stardock is either currently working on and/or has planned for the future--Dark Avatar, Society, Political Machine 2008, and the as-yet unnamed TBS 4x fantasy strategy game (and that's only the titles I can think of off the top of my head)--I just don't see how our friends in Michigan will possibly have the time and/or resources to develop a GalCiv RTS.

I would love to be wrong, however.
