Is this game I-Go-You-Go or is it We-Go?

I believe based on what I've read it's the former but I'm not 100% sure since the AI is calculating most of it's moves during my turn.

It is essentially I-Go-You-Go, but the AI uses the time during your turn to calculate its moves/strategies. It will continue to re-calculate based on what you do during your turn.

If that was vague at all, I will re-iterate that you move first, then the AIs. You will always be one-half turn ahead of the AI.

Do I know which AI's move after me and in what order since that can be important? For example, I would like to know that my AI ally is moving his ships in to protect my starbase before my enemy's turn.

The way the AI is described, it seems like you finish your move then "blink" it's your next turn.

Good question but it sounds to me like the AI only plans during your turn. I'd imagine that each AI takes its turn in succession... any beta testers out there wish to clarify?

This is how it work.

When it is your turn, you start to look around deciding what do to, meanwhile the computer starts to plan his strategy (during your turn) this dramatically decreases load times.
If you finsih you turn fast, the computers turn will take longer as he didnt have so much time to plan his strategy. If you take a very long time on you (as you probably will at the larger galaxies) the computers actuall "turn" will go faster. The computer doesnt move any ships during your turn, he just plans for the future. Because of this, more resources can be given to the AI:s development and therefor results in a better AI.

KiloOhm, to answer your question, it often seems like the AIs ships move together, based on which is the next selected unit. I am not sure, since I am palying the beta, but I have had, for example, a Grengin ship attack me, then an Altarian freighter arrive, and then another ship attack. If this is incorrect, and the AIs move in succession (ie, all Drengin ships move, then all Arceans, etc.), please let us know.
