switch themes-without save dialog?

Hi guys

I toyed a little with Desktop X at a friends Computer.
B4 bying I would like to know if thats what I am thinking of is possible.
I would like to use it to do my own media center.
i trid at my friend to create the normal desktop and a button "audiobooks"
By clickin that button a whole new theme with the categories for the audiobooks should open up.(i do it with shortcut on the new theme)
But erverytime i use it as window pops up asjing me if i wanna save the current theme and for few seconds all normal icons are visible.
I would like to have a smoother transition.
Or is there an other way to do that?
- I know this question might sound stupid to some of you but as i said atm i am not owning desktop x yet i had only a few hours to try a little bit)

Yes, there's a smoother way to do that. You have to create it as a single theme. Your button would then make visible everything that is invisible(a settable object property) and make everything you need to become invisible removed. It would take a bit of design and planning, but straightforward to implement. Probably a little scripting would be needed.

Take a look at this theme by Martin. It may describe what BDBF is saying visually:
