There are more important things going on in our world today, I know that. There are better things to talk about than another silly celebrity that gets into trouble or do or say something stupid. Yeah, I know that too. However, there are just somethings that you can't ignore and this is one of them.

Gywneth Paltrow, award winning actress gave an interview to a Portuguese magazine. This is a quote from what she said to the interviewer:

"I like living here [the UK] because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilised than Americans. I love the English lifestyle because it's not as capitalistic as America, people don't talk about work or money, we talk about other things at dinner."


Perhaps something got lost in translation? I guess time will tell or her publicists, as they try to save face.

Another famous celebrity who got rich in America supported by her fellow citizens (fans), runs off to a foreign land, forgets where they started, puts on a fake foreign accent and then bad mouth where they came from!

Yep, only in celebrydom! I guess they forget that they will need to return and make more money right? Hmmm, well Ms. Paltrow, or Mrs. whatever your name is right now....you're too good for us stupid Americans now uh?!

we don't sit around talking about money or whatever, we talk about all kinds of interesting things. I'd put the "intelligence" of the conversations my friends and I have up against hers any day. Pick a random transcript from either one and compare would be absolutely ideal.

She goes to England where she isn't surrounded by Hollywood elitist fools and thinks, "wow, these people are so much more intelligent".


That goes to show the type of people she hangs with, as Brad said before. Doesn't say much about her now does it?!


I was wrong in supporting the generalization, no matter what my intentions, the support of the right to criticize.


It's your opinion and all. And I'm all for freedom of speech etc., but going abroad to slam the very place that made her what she is and in such a crass way....nope, not acceptable! Bet you she wouldn't have said that here.

Hey now, acting isn't bad. It's just the big headed, egotistical, arrogant "actors" that give acting a bad name. A good example, of an actor that is (IMHO) good, and most definantly not what i mentioned, is Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Brilliant actor, IMO.

Hey, I'm not checking out male ass here, that's not my priority at all. And I know there are lots of hottie Europeans, but come on, it's the land of the brave and the home of the plastic surgeon. We'd better have nicer asses.
