Theme Screen Size

I new here so I don't know if this is the right place to post this.

I found several skins I like but they say it used for 1280x1024 screen.

OK I have a 17in monitor and I set my screen in the display proerties to 1280x1024 and and loaded the themes.

I can't rerarange the icons because they went off the screen plus I cannot read the writing on the icons because it is to small. I know the button is start menu but the writing is so tiny

I seen on some of the comments that others have asked for a 1024x768 theme and saw replies that the theme can be fixed in your desktop x software manager.I looked everyware I cannot find how to adjust my theme to fit a1024x768.

I can't afford a flat screen panel that used for gaming for a 1280x1024 and still have large icons

Can anyone assist on how to re adjust the themes for 1024x768

Thanks

Okay, I'll try and help. Not all DesktopX themes are alike. Since DesktopX is such an open environment for customization it really depends on what the author created. Some DesktopX themes are screen resolution independent. Some aren't. Some might have been developed for say 1024x768 and easily work in a higher resolution like 1280x1024, some won't work well when changing screen resolutions. The purchased version of DesktopX includes the DesktopX Builder where themes, desktops and widgets are built. It is with DesktopX Builder that modifications can be made (including finding off-screen objects and the like where they occur). Since you are new try choosing a few themes that are designed to work well in your prefered resolution. Try choosing popular themes maybe by gef, BoXXi, Qx9, Sviz(has one new popular one) to name a few of the authors. I'm sure there are other very good authors whose names I can't remember right now. In any case look for what's popular in your screen resolution and what appeals to you. I hope that helps.
