DA Opponent Question

A little question about customizing the bonuses, cpu level and such. Say I customize my opponent to use max cpu with 125% resources, this is to my knowledge equivelant to Crippling AI(I'm guessing a little here). Now if all my AI opponents are using this setup, do they get changed/overidden by the overall difficulty selector? If not, do I even need to worry with the overall difficulty? In my last game the overall was on tough, but my custom opponents seemed to be playing at a higher level(how I set them). Just kinda got me curious. Thanks

IIRC the overall difficulty should automatically adjust to reflect the settings you've chosen for the individual AIs, though I'm not sure how exactly adjusting the overall difficulty after setting the AIs individually will affect those settings.

Thanks Kryo. I just wonder how difficulty is going to be figured when DA gets on the Meta with so many difficulty options. I realize that part probably hasn't been worked out yet though.

Beta 2A has it pretty well set up as the final mechanism.

Basically it's something like natural abilities + economic advantage /2 or something like that.  It fits to what is in the user manual anyway.

Using the advanced CPU options doesn't affect difficulty rating because it is impossible to determine just how much "harder" they make it.

Thanks for the clarification  I still have to finish reading the manual, can't stop playing long enough.
