We are Warriors

my friend

Lost and alone in the distant night

that feeling has gone awanderin

drifting like a log down a winding stream

sometimes it matters not what you say

sometimes there's nothing to stop the feelings

I hear the call that goes out, that drifts o'er the night

it is so strong I could almost touch you

you seem lost, I feel that way too

yet we can't give up when there's still so much to be done

stories to tell, laughter to share

The writing's not yet on the wall, sometimes life slows us down

but we are warriors

we fight the good fight and no matter how much

pain it seems to bring, no matter how lost it seems

we'll be able to win that battle, as long as we help each other

to cheer the other on

for even though the pain might not be the same

we're comrades in spirit, we walk the road

we fight the good fight

Fight on my friend, life is worth the living

even when it's for naught

troubles will be forgotten as we come together again

to tell a story, a dream to share

forget the one who stands on the outside trying to beat our spirit

beaten to a pulp that monster disappears

It matters what's in your heart

because we are warriors of life, we fight the good fight

giving thanks for the blessings sent from above

Thx Mark and Kelly! Yes, those moments usually leave you writing some fantastic stuff that didn't seem like it at the time! But I do like it!
