The end of the world is probably going to go a little like this:
One deep breath, a heart-stopping moment,
Sudden clarity, thankfulness, minor regret mixed with heady elation.
A rush of wind through your hair, like one last breathy whisper,
The highest pitch of a scream, that rings forever.
Everything poised on edge,
So deep you can’t see your reflection,
The end all and be all of your small life,
Your whole life an eternity before
that final storm.
