The mix of textures is visually stimulating.
The one caution I have is that text may get lost on the "thatching"

definatly noted...as i said before i still have alot to learn about SKS... i have had the program for about a year and haven't done much at all with it...but thats an interesting tip taken...i wonder if black text would work?

jojo25, the pink is BRIGHT heh... sure some will like it, not exactly my 'cup of tea' but design wise I don't see too much wrong with it. The green start menu is nice, maybe a little too much beveling and all going on there.

Patrick, man thats sweet. Will be intresting to see how a final product will look with that.

yeah man i'm not ot fond of the pink either but hey its for my wife mainly...and thanx for the input about the beveling...i'll see what it looks like with out so much of that going on...lol...will repost another screenshot in a while...thanx again SK

jojo25: I really like your artwork, but you are going to have problems when you take it into Skinstudio and you have the choice of "tile" or "stretch". For instance: Your pink skin, that heart will end up at one side or other of the titlebar and will look strange. And on the green skin, that basketweave effect will be destroyed by stretching, or very difficult to get right with tiling.
I'm sure you will learn to adapt your designs to WindowBlinds failings and shortcomings as you gain more experience. Some of my best WB designs can't actually be realised because of these restrictions, but I do try to push the envelope occasionally.

Your artwork really is very good, keep working at it.

Right .. this is my VERY FIRST ATTEMPT at making a basic WB ...

I have called it " White Illusion Alpha " I am slowly crawling around the sks6 prog trying to make
sense .. or nonsense , depending on your point of view !!

Incidentally, after making sidebars for so long ,it's definitely a change of scenery for me ,It even has bits of my sidebars in ... via the import feature .. ! !

Sorting the start button and the horizontal task bar is the next stage ...

I would never expect it to be eye - popping at this stage ... My handling of advanced graphics like this is , at best , very basic in it's presentation ... and I only use PaintNET .. as the adobe/corel stuff is very expensive for me ...

Anyway .. here you go ...

I've decided not to pursue the Text App Launcher as a full widget but, probably will release something in the next week or so for people to see how to create therir own text based launcher.

These are my current projects. To the left is a file sorter and to the right is a Shortcut Launcher/Manager that will include profiles & categories...this is also the first widget I'm tracking my time on. Boy talk about sucking the life out of something!
