I read the link above. I think Frogboy is pursueing the most interesting and challenging direction he can think of for GalCiv development. And with his other interest in Stardock, not to mention a personal life he may never himself be able to write a novel length work from this. I suspect this could be done to great effect by a contract writer, just as D&D games have led to some serious sells. And a lot of fun for the gamers. It was the short stories posted to the Morrowind site that drew me to it.
