What you get if you download?

As a UK gamer I don't want to wait months for this game to come out over here. So if I download the game what exactly do I get? Will I have a printable manual? All the features the CD owning versions would have? CGI etc?

Also do I have to have a CD sent or can I just dl the game?

If you buy the game through Stardock you can download the game and optionally for shipping charges get the game on CD.
The manuals that I have seen are currently in html format which can be printed.
Once you have played a few games you will not need the manuals.

I will be downloading the game and was also going to get it shipped for $10 as I thought a printed manual came with it. From Brad's sticky post this doesn't seem to be the case. So should I bother with shipping? I have a burner and can make a CD once my download is complete.
Just wondering whether to spend the extra $10 (which is $20 aussie!).

Except for JavaScout's tech tree documents. The tech tree is so big it is hard to remember. There is a link to Java's tech tree in the Galciv online Encyclopedia.
