Project Gray Company, only revealed last July, has announced that The Lord of the Rings: The White Council has been put on delay indefinitely. Although rumored to have been canceled outright, the title, which was to ship for Holiday 2007 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, has now been shelved.
The news comes straight from EA CFO Warren Jenson who confirmed that the game was not cancelled as part of an earnings call. When questioned about the rumored cancellation Jenson detailed that "The Lord of the Rings product is back in development in terms of being on hold." He continued with the revelation that the title won't see the light of day, if at all, before April 2008.
