What is the super hive Super ability now?

Super Hivers can build factories at 20 or 25% (not sure which right off hand) of the normal cost/time, rather than being able to build them in one turn as in the beta.

FYI, the change means you can build factories in 3 turns at the start of a game on your capital without touching any settings, as opposed to the ~15 turns it takes other races. Not instant but still way ahead.

At least Super Hive won't be as money-crunched as before.

Hive/Thalan are still way overpowered. On a 85-90 planets large loose scattered map maso level 8opponents I managed to colonise 20 planets by sep 1st year. Its just way to easy to out colonise the AI's you can be building a colony ship every single turn in about 10 game turns if you rush buy the factories only costs about 1000 creds. 4 speed colony ships with miniatariztion bonus and ion drive as well. Hive Range bonus also helps.

The ability has defenitely been lessened longterm but the Thalans still completely own the most important phase of the game (Colonsation).

Super Hive is a real huge advantage.

Basic factories come in 1 to 2 moves. Can buy them for 90 bc rather than 438.

Of course there is a downside. If you go too wild, you still can get into economic
trouble.

Since I play neutral, I rarely get attacked at the beginning. I pretty much start
with 4 basic factories and then do the planet rush. On the tech side, you have to spend much of their time building the economy--building stock exchanges, morale builders, improve govt.

It may be too much of an advantage.

I thought Super Hive also gave a +1 range advantage?

Anyway, this ability makes Thalans my favourite race at the moment.
