do you have script blocking software?

it's a function of various anti virus softwares = like Norton

maybe not an issue...

right click that shortcut in your start panel (the one you have circled) and choose 'properties'

in the 'general' tab it will list 'location' = highlight that with your mouse and copy/paste to here

here it is:

C:\Documents and Settings\mainn\Start Menu\Programs\Object Desktop

right click on it and remove

does the shortcut on the desktop work? i see it in your pic

My desktopx is installed via Stardock Central (aka SDC) and it shows under 'start'-'all programs'-'object desktop'

if I pin from that to the start menu, then when I right click the pinned shortcut
the "target" shows as:

"C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX\Welcome.exe"

whilst the 'start in' shows the path of:

"C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX"

you might want to consider an uninstall - reboot - download and install SDC - register product - use SDC to download & install

ok i did everything u told me to do.. desktop shortcut also does not work.. i even went to the target and manualy tried to open it, same problem occured.

i even had the object desktop in the programs leading to "Welcome.exe" and still the same problem.

the SDC also gave me the same result. i think im gonna try to reinstall windows and install DesktopX first and then the rest of my crap. Because so far nothing is working.

I don't know if this will help. If you have theme manager try loading using that. Select DesktopX then click apply. As far as the parsing error is concerned that has something to do with the way the app is being applied. Happened to me with Logon Studio. Parsing error means certain information is missing I think
