Developer Traveller's Tales and Activision have announced that they will be releasing a new Transformers title to be cross-branded with the upcoming live-action film. Transformers: The Game will be released for the PC as well as various consoles and handhelds in time for the Summer 2007 release of the film.
Gamers will be given the task of protecting, or destroying the Earth, a choice that contains the ability to play as the Autobots or the evil Decepticons. Player's will have to master each factions unique weapons, moves and transformations between vehicle and robot mode. Traveller's Tales are incorporating fully destructible environments into Transformers: The Game, urging players to smash everything, and use the world around you as a weapon.
