Make desktop icon text transparent not working

Hey, I bought this a while ago, it was all working fine but I changed my desktop wallpaper and now the make desktop icon text background transparent function isn't working. Anyone know why this may have occured?

Did you set your wallpaper to a jpg under XP? If so you have turned on Active Desktop and that is incompatible with that feature.
