Is 1.50 for Galciv2 or Dark Avatar?

I currently am running 1.40X GalCiv2. I have not purchased Dark Avatar yet. I tried installing 1.50, but the game stopped working. I couldn't even get to the main menu. The game runs fine with 1.40X loaded. When I downloaded 1.50 through Stardock Central my game stopped working. I figured maybe this version was for Dark Avatar. Are my assumptions correct? Am I doing something wrong? Any information would be appreciated.

I own Dark Avatar, but my SDC shows my GalCiv2 as being version 1.50.090 and Dark Avatar being 1.50.059. And when I run GalCiv2 (not DA) it shows as being v. 1.5 in the lower-left of the main menu.

So I assume 1.5 is the latest for GalCiv2, even if you don't own DA.

GC2 1.5 fixes a handful of bugs and makes it compatible with DA. If it won't work after you updated, please post your debug.err.
