ATT: Make sure you are using this Stardock Central (enclosed)

Okay, reading through the posts I'm seeing a few problems people are having with SDCentral.

We have release candidate 1 now available. Please make sure you use this one.

So what is the process? Do we uninstall everything and start over, or is there a SDC update that will automate the process for us if we exit and restart? Not sure yet, or?

Just close SDCentral, click on that link and it'll install the new version and then voila.

Remember, some of us (any many more to come) need step by step ignoramous instruction. heheh

Also, I'd like to note that, sadly, the multimedia download started over for me. But thanks for working so hard, you guys have been great for months. I look forward to GalCiv for a few years (a dynasty mayhap?) and, hey, The Political Machine as well.

Does this new one have an option to specify how many times to retry downloading a file before giving up? I've had a hell of a time trying to get some of the larger files with only 2 retries. :(

99a corrupted my windows boot. Can you assure me that Release candidate 1 is safe?

When I launched Stardock Central 10 minutes ago after getting home from work, it did an autoupdate and had me reboot. Following that, I am now able to download and install applications again from Stardock Central (it had been giving me an extraction error prior to this version.)

Thank you so much for the quick resolution of this problem!!! :)

Is this something that's eventually going to auto-update or do we have to do it manually (think I have .99c 145 build2 at the moment)? I only ask since I also had SDC auto-update just fine last night but bowed to peer pressure (Brad......) to go ahead and install the new .99 and merryment ensued...

Not saying that anything's going to go wrong now, but I'm pretty gunshy after the last 24 hours and am rapidly adopting the "if it ain't broke..." philosophy. ;)

BTW, to anyone who is having any sort of problem with Stardock Central, odds are you are not using RC1 which is the one mentioned in this post.
