Found something you don't think is right? Post it here and we'll try to take a look at it.

If it's a feature request or a change that's more of a matter of paste, post it in the "Suggestion thread".

The galactic wonder, The Terraformer, was not available to build after I had researched the requisite technology. I am absolutely certain no one had built it before me.

This thread has become so long, it is difficult to figure out what the bugs are and have they been reported earlier.

I hope one of moderators will put an uneditable sticky with a consolidated list of reported bugs so that people can read it to see if their bug has already been reported before posting to this thread.

Bugs I have seen:

SFX is a bit glichy at the start of Ending sequence (for culture victory at least, I have yet to win by another method).

Bug on the Stats screen of the Domestic policy Page. I had to pay 8% interest (don't remember why, may have been a random event) and the words "Interest Rate" were on two lines, but "-8%" was on one line. The result was that the stats lines below this were not lined up correctly. i.e. "Planet Quality" was lined up with "2%" (which was number of extra trade routes).

Morale Bonuses. When the Survey Ship got morale bonuses, The bonues did not add in the stats screen. I am those moral bonuses are empire wide and should show there, correct?

I am afraid I don't have time to review all other reported bugs to see if this is a duplicate. I think we need a more managable reporting interface. Anyway, here are some from me:

1) Other races constantly demanding tribute for zero years. eg: "pay me 127 bc for 0 years".

2) When you offer tribute in a negotiation in order to purchase tech, ships etc, it actually seems to add to your income each year. Very handy!

3) Minor races seem to acquire unique trade goods with incredible rapidity within the first few scores of turns.

4) Not sure if this is a play balance issue, but other races churn out constructers within the first few turns of the game. These ships take me over 50 turns to construct at the beginning.

Spent 8 points for the Speed + 2 ability. Started game and ships (Colony and Survey ship) only have Move: 2/2.
This is the same as not spending 8 points on Speed.

Appears to be broken.

The player's income statements do not update until the next turn, which is confusing. For instance, trade agreements which might add 100 credits per turn, don't update until next turn, which means I am never sure what my real income will be for the next turn.

Three times now I have been in the middle of a game and the game will just suddenly stop and send me to the desktop. I have a PIII 500mhz with 256meg.

General Updating:

Actually, none of the numbers update until next turn. I launched a transport with half the population which I knew would improve morale but the morale didn't change until next turn.

In the Metaverse table of scores, why is my score not the sum of the scores of the games presented when I left click my name?

One chronic bug I have is that every so often, when I go to STATS on either the Foreign Relations menu or less often, the Domestic window, the game crashes to Windows. I'm using XP.

Three bugs I've seen.

- If you max out the destabilize slider on an enemy race, then hit the increase arrow, it still increases even though it was previously maxed out (not sure if it actually does any more but it shows more money being spent.

- I saw the AI build a starbase on a resource I already claimed with a starbase (I think this is a bug anyway...).

- If you build a starbase "under" a solar system, and disembark a constructor (which puts in on top of the starbase, your allowed to plop down an additional starbase. It should probably give the option to upgrade if you try to build a second on that spot.

While playing as evil technologists in a game where the Fundamentalists appear, I can't convince any other civs to attack them flat out. I haven't tried using an Alliance to get it to indirectly work, but on the trading/diplomacy screen under the "Attack..." item, the Fundamentalists are never listed...All the other minor races are though.

Loaded a savegame. I was clearly not in control of the senate on the save (I have a few percent of the vote), but upon load, I was listed as in control with bonuses applied.

oh, on the above, the actual senate display shows a different party with a grand majority of the seats.

Getting the same syndrome as:

Corrupted save games, very frustrating, have to go back quite a few turns to an old save.

Running on Windows XP SP1 with DX9. P4 1.7GHz + Gforce4 4200 with latest drivers from nvida.

Note: On my post above RE: The fundamentalists, I double-checked, and no they weren't already fighting :notsure:

As of the latest version, the problem where multiple AIs can build the same GA or tradegood still exists.

Also, I saw 'String not found' on a number of text entries in game.

In the diplo screen, there's two treaty options:

Attack...
Peace...

Clicking on Attack and picking a race adds this choice in the lower right-hand box. Clicking on the choice there removes it from the negotiation and adds another Attack entry in the options box so it looked like this:

Attack...
Peace...
Attack...

Hope that's clear, otherwise I'll try a screenshot if I see it again.

Frogboy,

I think this may be a bug of a sort.

I have been trying to win the game through “Cultural” Victory and everything is going fairly well. I managed to get 82% of the way toward victory.

I then saved the game and went back later and loaded it up again. To my dismay I was only about 27% of the way toward a Cultural Victory. After about 5 turns it went back to about 72% but that really seemed odd.

I then saved this game and went back later and instead of 72% it was now 17% of the way to a Cultural Victory!
Again after about 5 Turns it was back to 72%.

This obviously seems like something is a bit wrong here.

Please advise.

Frogboy,

Another thing I noticed, that I am not sure if it is a bug or just the way the game is supposed to be designed.

IN the Diplomacy Screen at times when other races contact you there is no "SEND" button. It only appears when you click on something to give them or demand from them. But it seems at times all they want is an answer.

Is this way to made it to be or is this a problem?

Side Note:
I wish there was a way to ask for things that did not suggest you were demanding them but simply asking for them as an ally.
