ObjectDock 1.5 works great in Vista.  I believe there is still an issue with the taskbar, but otherwise it's fine.  I use it everyday.

i would need taskbar to work cause what i do is i hide the windows start bar and use 3 docklets in its place...one is for taskbar, other for open apps and third for icons
to me it looks alot nicer and cleaner....so guess i'll have to wait for it to mature.

do they have something like objectodock for linux?

hows winFX work in vista?

As for the next upgrade, I don't know when..

Also it Object Dock works just fine BUT I am still messin with it and tryin to figure out all what it actually does.

I am glad though that it loads up just fine on my vista though and yeah I am using 32 bit

NON-TABBED DOCK & Sleeping Laptop/Desktop behavior: Wakes up; mouseover dock icons near cursor become visible and expand. The rest of the dock is empty until actual mouseover of each invisible icon - that makes them visible.
BIGGEST HEADACHE: does NOT stay ON-TOP (unreliable delay feature). Since I use multiple programs at once at FULL SCREEN, I have to click SHOW DESKTOP -or- {Win}{D} to access the Doc Bar; this should be the first BUG-FIX.
BEST "Hidden" FEATURE is the FLYOUT MENU - CUSTOM items!!! You can put whatever you want in the flyout, not just folders. I knew there had to be a way; took me hours to figure just what CUSTOM meant.
WEAKEST feature: default icon folder does NOT allow you to view icons in larger sizes. Packages of icons (purchased) like Apogee (love it) have many similar icons. I put the package folder in the default folder to readily access both sets. {Just found an untried IMPORT package feature moments ago}.
WORST feature - "Hidden Button" (in plain sight): selecting icons OUTSIDE the default folder uses an UNLIT BAR BUTTON that says BROWSE FOR AN IMAGE beneath a folder navigation tree. Only recognized this as a button after an accidental mouseover many days and hours after using the program trying to access other icons.
BEST HELP: before I bought the OBJECT DOCK PLUS package, I watched the video demonstration at https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/.

Clicking, you see a refreshing, relaxed "live" demo with narration of OBJECT DOCK PLUS. Takes about 22 minutes.

Holy COW! I had never seen that (having found that flyouts didn't suit me).

Zubaz goes flyout crazy now!!

The only issue I have in Vista is that the "Dock" stays on top when the screen saver is active. The "Tabbed Dock" doensn't have this problem.

The undesireable work around is to autohide it.

"Always on top" is active for both.
