can stardock be made to work with a proxy server?

proximitron(a program that filters the html that heads to your browser by acting as a proxy server) had to be shut off and in the internet options setting, "proxy server" had to be deselected in order for stardock central to work. this means i am never gonna use it unless i need an update because it would be too inconvenient to go and change my setting everytime i wanted to use it for the message board or chat.

Yea, you can choose a proxy server in the connection settings. Tools->settings->connection.

Its actually a proximitron issue. Proximitron appends javascript code to the beginning of all data transferred via http. Thus this breaks our data.

If you configure SDC in Tools->Settings->Connection to not use a proxy server, it uses the proxy server IE is configured to use anyhow; in other words you still must disable Proximotron to use Stardock Central.

russelmz2, you can right-click on the Prox icon in the toolbox and choose "Bypass" to temporarily bypass Prox. The icon will dim, and SDC will work. Just deselct bypass before you resume browsing the web.
