How to load short cuts?/?

I am a beginer that is diving into this, I have StarDock and Desktopx.Pro, I have downloaded some themes to experiment but being a newbie I am stumped, some of the themes have extra buttons for short cuts that you click on it and starts the program that you want.

1) how can I make it point to a specific item? better yet how can I add a short cut so when I click a button it starts that program? and or add more programs to the group?

2) how to add icons to taskbar or is that a thing of the past?

if set up for clients, then > right click - set target

better yet how can I add a short cut so when I click a button it starts that program?


some themes have extra space for more links and could include extra graphics to use in the theme folder

if not set up to tweak in client mode, then switch to builder mode = then right click on something to get to properties. you can right click on a shortcut and clone it, then set the target of the clone to where you want it to point.
