Variable Icon Sizes?

...on the Vista desktop?

Hi there, I've had a question for a long time and I was curious if anyone here had an answer.  Does anyone know of any way to have icons of different sizes on the desktop at the same time?  I ask because I frequently have lots of icons on my desktop but only use seven or eight of them frequently--in other words, I would need a few big ones and lots of small ones.

Is there any way/program to achieve this?  I'm running Vista currently.

I thought IconX but I'm not sure.

I remember a program that does many things for the desktop.WWW Link

It's FlashTray Pro a "Launcher & Macro Utility"

Let's copy some things (if I may do this)

This program is a system tray utility packed with features :

• a launcher for your favorite applications, documents, folders or URL's.
• create systemwide hotkeys that can simulate any set of keystrokes.
• hotkey macro language for extra functionality (eg : screenshots)
• extra Built-in tools : Character map, Colorpicker, Screen Magnifier,...

Features
- Popup menu with links to Programs, Documents, Websites, Directories
- Very simple and intuitive interface
- Easy to understand macro language (no programming skills required)
- Small/Large icons
- Uses very little resources
- Easy Setup (with uninstall support)
- No extra DLL's required

Hi, There is a beta of AveDEsk 2 aveDesk 2 BETA

You truly need to read through the threads because there are issues resolved throughout and remember it is BETA

According to the last thread of that post ... ..The trick is to change the properties of the desklet to have its style set to Normal Window or Always on Bottom... in order to use it in Vista
I do not use Vista but it appears that you can use this...I love AveDesk and use it with XP...and you can do so many more things than just variable individual icon size....also see
