How to install the backup files (ignorant?)

I may sound ignorant but I like the atmosphereon this forum so I'll just go ahead and ask.

How can I install the archives I've been able to download? Should I press the install button in SDC? Won't it download again?

fyi, I have checked the helpfile in SDC but the links about 'archive' all lead to the page 'create stardock.net account'. It seems the helpfile isn't quite done yet.
