I'm surprised no one has asked this yet... Are super abilities hardcoded? Can they be modded? If so, how?

I'd be interested in knowing this as well. It would be nice to be able to give my two custom races unique super abilities. I haven't come across anything yet though. I'm guessing it's all hard coded.

Probally hardcoded. GalCiv 2 doesn't seem to support original content all too well. I can't even mod in a starbase module that would increase a starbase's hitpoints.

They are, I asked the same question and kryo said they were hardcoded.

Too bad, it would be nice if they would open that up so we could have truly unique custom races. Or at least give us some extra ones we could use instead.

hopefully after the various tweaking patches, they will add super abilities to the mod-able options
