Does war affect approval?

Does being at war affect approval ratings? I tend to be invasion-averse, but enjoy blockading certain planets to deprive them of trade... Does this affect that planet's approval?

Also, will people flee a planet if population drops? If so, how can you force a drop in an enemy's approval rating?

Yeah, it raises it. When you're invading planets & getting invaded, your population drops, which raises your approval.

However, if you conquer a couple AI's completely (and this includes Minors), that will ding your approval from the other AI's. It helps your diplomacy not to take them out completely.

Ahh... I see how it works.

Maybe I'm being too technical, but does morale drop when you're at war? For example, if I declare war on, say, the Korx, does that affect the morale on their plants? It'd be cool if it did.
