AI battles

Is there a way to view a battle between two AI opponents? Or at the least get a view on the main screen of what battles are taking place. I'd like to keep track of how the war is going. (especially since i got them started)

Turn on the 'Show opponent battle sequences' option in the menu and you should be set.
