Once more to the breach, dear friends...

It's only the fifth or sixth time this evening that I've got the time-out message on anomoly.md_ . Which means there's been three times that many attempts to download it by SDC. Who's been hogging so much bandwidth that a 56k6 modem in NZ cannot get more than 500KB to 1MB of that file downloaded each time... and sometimes less than that?

*sigh* :(

I'm NOT giving up... but I've gotta sleep sometime.

Suggestion for SDC: Auto-nurse option that, whenever there is a file timeout, a) saves the log file automatically, and b) resumes downloading, or attempting to download.

I feel so stink saying anything, but I'm also sooo frustrated right this minute. I want my game!! I do...

So, once more to the breach, dear friends.

I am using broad band, but the speed of the download didnt go beyong 20k/sec, yet i managed to download the core game successfully. Doing same to multimedia now.

My download did get interrupted with an error message a couple of times. All you need to do is click download button again and it will resume from where it left off.

no it doesn't; it resumes at the start of the file that it was downloading; that could be 20 mbs back

A file 20 megs big...I guess that would be true. I thought he meant that he starts dowloading straight from the begining over and over again...

I apparently went back 60 mbs with one fail, but I think my download display is a bit inaccurate

I know the subject for this thread is a misquote. When you step back and consider that 'unto' once meant 'where' or 'why' (probably 'why', as I remember), then me saying 'once more to the breach' is what I meant to say. Not 'once more why a breach'.
