Instaling Widgets

Hello all. I am very new to this and i need help installing widgets. I do not get it at all. I have searched around and found nothing. So would somebody be kind enough and tell me how to instal a Widget? I am using Windows XP.

Widgets are mini programs that reside on your computer. You only need to have DesktopX installed in order to use them.

a very good widget "machine" is konfabulator or now a Yahoo! gadgets, go on to http://gadget.yahoo.com/ and download it there

then http://gadget.yahoo.com/gallery to look @ the widgets avaliable
