Codemasters Announces 'HEI$T'

Crime Title Complete With Chases; Expected Q4 2007

Codemaster has announced a new title from inXile Entertainment set for release by Q4 2007 on PC and consoles. HEI$T will be a criminal enterprise game allowing players to take part in all the "job pullin’, bank robbin’ action-drivin’" that their heart desires. The title itself will be set in the seedy world of San Francisco circa 1969.

Players will fill the shoes of Johnny, one of a long line of bigtime thieves, including his father who was gunned down during a job. Johnny will come together with his Uncle Sal and his old crew after he gets out of prison to make a name for himself as he tries to tackle the biggest job of them all, The Mint.

After each careful robbery, whether it be a strip club, bar or federal bank, players will then be tasked with a good ole fashion chase. Upon completion of a heist players will have to evade the police whom will use everything in their power to stop the criminals while maintaining the safety of nearby civilians.

"We designed HEI$T so that players feel like a part of the best robberies and car chases from classic movies," states Maxx Kaufman, Creative Director at inXile Entertainment. "Everything from the different types of jobs to pull and the reckless pursuits by the police through the streets of San Francisco, to the sarcastic banter back and forth between the members of the crew gives HEI$T the action and style of the great attitude and rock-driven films of the 60’s."
