Hey guys first time posting here 
Great game great support and all that you guys know already...
so anyway i was enjoying this glorious achievement yesterday on the lowest difficulty settings(hehe) and still got in a bit of a stalemate. Heres what happened:
I was topping everything including techonology, military, population and economy, all except influence(must be my NO, 0, NO, 0 answers on every UP meeting :p)
the universe was very happy the Arceans were at the centre communicating with everyone except the Drengins. Somehow they had all researched trade while i was pumping up on weapon technology and cultural enhancements. The Vegans formed at the south of my Republic and the Alexians between the Yor and Arceans. My own greediness drove me into going to war with the Alexians, i should have taken it as a sign when my people refused to start a war for a dozen times or so, but alas i managed to get clearance and there i was destroying their defences. Little did i know when ALL(yes ALL) of the empires including 2 minor send me a msg that they have to obey their treaty with the Alexians and therefor destroy me. 20-30 turns later i was still defending on my 4 star systems, i had destroyed a Ranger, a couple of corvette class Precursors and countless other ships. My budget, being negative, was the reason i tried to make peace with them all. I first tried making peace with the Arceans, now piling up on points leaving me behind, i managed to get a peace treatie using my diplomacy skills(ie. give them technolohies and more technologies). Next turn: The Arceans went to war with me again wanting to honour their treatie with the Alexians. Bummer.
But mighty me didn't give and i managed to secure peace treaties with all the opposing empires. At this time the Drengin showed up and allied with me since i was Evil and they begged me for help since the Arceans and Torians were hammering them. I gave them some technologies they could use but the greedy bastartuchis wanted more and more, so i kindly "screwed" them. And they were gone.
Now back to me. On the next turns that followed i started building up my economy again and managed to secure a trade alliance with the Arceans.(the Yor had being overtaken by the Arceans and the other races where behind the Arceans, the Drengin were doing some trading but couldn't stand a chance against the Mighty Neutralness of the Arceans.)
It came as a surprise when the Alexians remained hostile and on one turn the Torians turned against me again, followed by all the others.
So i was gonna ask for some advice yesterday what i should do. The Alexians have one solar system that i could take with one transport and then try to make peace but im already -2000 on funds. Or i could slowly take them all with my massive armada, i gotta have at least 20 starfighters, 10 corvettes, 5 battlecruisers, 10 battleaxes and 5 battlehammers, countless defenders and their follow-ups.(bound to have others i dont remember, like frigates)
But i turned this into a Middle Action Report if there is such a thing, since i downloaded the bonus pack and all star systems have 1 morale, im -2000bc and they all hate me!!!! so i`m gonna start a new game.
Thoughts: Can i do anything to make a race more loyal to me than some wheenie minor like the Alexians so i can declare war on them and they won't turn against me?
Also the galaxy placement gave all the planets to the Arceans and left the Drengin with few star systems followed by empty space, so that made them come into contact way late into the game and lost horribly to that, while this creates unique games i would advise newbies like myself to use the new bonus pack features to create a suitable galaxy for them before taking off(start up a few times to get the best galaxy your luck can get). Also another newbie tip is to remember that Good/Evil alignment is a hard seperator of races so people looking for a more "united" game better put all races on the same alignment or to neutral.
I would also like to request a little window at the Start Civilization menu of the galaxy before the game starts, so we could generate the galaxy and see it before starting up, no biggie but this is really nice in Space Empires IV.
